Does the shape factor into the cost?


Yes, the more geometric the pool is the more sq ft you have. Example a 15 x 30 freeform pool might have surface square feet of 350. However, a 15 x 30-rectangle pool has 450 square feet. Since the largest cost of the pool comes from square feet the straight pool will cost you more.
