Do you use sub contractors?
Use of Sub-contractors varies depending on location in the country and the particular contractor. Pool Contractors frequently use “subs” on a project; especially for major phases such as shotcrete / gunite; electrical; and interior finish. The use of subcontractors does not relate to the quality of the work. Many of the “subs” are specialized in a craft and are more qualified than and in-house crew that works on 3 or 4 different phases. The most important factor is who will be providing the quality control. (a good comparison: Home builders are contractors and frequently hire a subcontractor to pour the foundation; to frame the house; to install the roof etc.)
