In business since 1966, Ewing Aquatech is without peer as the leading pool builder in the state of Louisiana.
Based in Baton Rouge, We build custom designed gunite swimming pools and spas. We also build koi ponds, decorative concrete decking, and perform a broad spectrum of renovation. Having won over 100 design awards since 1976,our reputation has expanded to our neighboring state of Mississippi as well. Whether it be residential or commercial work, we utilize the talents of our veteran crew, who average over 20 years experience, to achieve an unprecedented level of excellence. Virtually all our pool contractor work is in-house, and we give free estimates for all our designs.

Our designs are backed by a wealth of time honored techniques and craftsmanship.

At Ewing Aquatech, there is no such thing as vague pricing or slick marketing techniques. We break out every item in detail and list its respective cost. Since we don’t charge for the shape, you can allow your imagination to run without tripping your checkbook. We focus on issues that may not cost a dime, but can dramatically separate your backyard from the dull cookie-cutter pools that simply occupy space.
IN-HOUSE
We employ over 25 full time employees, and rely very little on sub-contractors. This allows us to control our own schedule as opposed to others who are controlled by subs.
HOW DO I GET STARTED?
One
Simply check your records for a plot plan. This is the legal description of your lot and will show servitudes, set back lines, and other restrictions of which we need to be aware.
Two
Come by our office and view our picture books. These books are filled with examples of our work. From ultra sophisticated to small and simple, we have built them all, so take your time looking and formulate which styles and specifics that you like. Our staff can help you with any questions you may have, and hopefully you’ll come away with an accurate concept of what you want.
Three
Make an appointment with one of our builders to meet at your house. We’ll assess your yard from a variety of perspectives including access, drainage, and focal points. We'll discuss what you desire in a pool. Small children, exercising, playing volleyball...etc., all these things are important and are factored into your design.
Four
We'll work up a three dimensional drawing for you based on our discussions. Along with that drawing, we'll submit a complete bid including a number of options. Many of these, such as robot cleaners and sanitizers are geared such that you can add them later when you're more familiar with your pool. After going over our bid with you, you'll know exactly where you stand, what's included and what's not.
Five
Often it takes a few drawings to get exactly what you want, and we'll draw it as many times as it takes to get it perfect. Remember, we don't charge for the shape, so your options are truly limitless!

3D DESIGN PROCESS
“ Our 3D design process is an unparalleled tool in assisting clients in visualizing their backyard.”
First we measure the house, take pictures and re-create the property in full detail. Then we design the project bearing in mind the parameters you’ve given us. We can even email you pictures of our progress and make changes accordingly.
When we’re finished, you’ll be immersed into a tour of your property in full 3D action. Nightlighting, waterfalls, furniture, landscaping…..all can be viewed from any perspective.

Sandy Ewing joined Aquatech in 1976 and is proud to have served on the board of directors for 29 years, shepherding the business to more than $1 billion in sales in 2007. Aquatech is best defined as an elite national pool builder's society that primarily serves as a buying group. This enables us to obtain equipment and materials direct from the manufacturer, eliminating a reliance on distributors. Educational seminars are held, as well as yearly conventions where members can share best practices with colleagues from all over the country.
