About Goodall Pools and Spas

As custom builders, we combine proven design expertise with great flexibility in creating exactly the “right” pool and spa setting for you. And, with our “one-stop-shop” approach to building, we can implement every single item that we design – right down to electrical work, fencing, and the last blade of grass! Indeed, if you can dream it, we really can design it and build it – in your backyard!
HISTORY
Our company’s roots go back to the early 1960’s, when our president’s father, Robert L. Goodall Sr. spent the last $35 of the family savings on a pool salesman kit. This one kit turned into the first pool job completed by Goodall Pools & Spas. The first Goodall Pools location had a rather modest beginning, functioning out of Bob Sr’s and his wife Joanne’s basement at their home on Elm Street in New Cumberland. Life was a bit different in those days as is evidenced by a picture of the building in New Cumberland, proudly sporting a sign advertising a complete in-ground swimming pool for $595. As the business grew, Bob Sr. gave up his job selling aluminum doors and windows to focus on pools.
One day in 1974, Bob Jr. got involved in the pool business when he was sent out in a truck to help build a pool. Before long, he became more involved with all aspects of the business. In 1993, Bob’s sister Tracey came to work full-time to handle the financial department. When Bob Goodall Sr. passed away in 1995, Bob Jr, carried on the business and has run it with the help of many loyal and dedicated employees.
The current retail location on Simpson Ferry Road in Camp Hill was established in 1988. A second location in Harrisburg was launched in 1997. The Lebanon store was set up on Quentin Road in 2001. The last retail store was launched in Lancaster in 2003 near Park City Mall. In 2007 the Lancaster store moved to a better location in the same area.
Over the last 40 years, Goodall Pools & Spas has been recognized with many national and international awards for design and installation of beautiful pools throughout the Central Pennsylvania area.
Our philosophy is to build customer loyalty through the value and quality of our products and services. We believe that we can do the most good for our customers, by delivering accurate, honest advice and superior products.
Goodall Pools provides the products and services that make owning a pool or spa simple. Some examples of this are our Once-A-Week pool care programs, spa filter that remove the smallest of particles and in-floor pool cleaning systems. Our computerized pool and spa water testing allows us to provide precise and personalized recommendations on water quality.
Our construction crews are charged with the task of turning incredible pool designs into true backyard masterpieces. We design and build pools tastefully into their surroundings. Stone walls, spacious patios and unique plant life are often integrated into a project to create a natural and functional outdoor retreat.
